Make this year the best Christmas ever!

This economy has dealt a blow to many. Unemployment is at an all time high. People we know are struggling with foreclosures and worrying about where they will be living and what their economic future holds. Government is a house divided. Help for the less fortunate among us is not a priority. Now is not the time to dwell on the glass half empty. I want to challenge my friends, coworkers, business associates to help those less fortunate this holiday season. Contribute to the food banks, Toys for Tots, Homeless Shelters, your less fortunate friends and acquaintances. I just found out that my friend of 10 years, Annie Privette of Apartment Companies, temp agency, lost her home due to the economy. She works on commission and could use a hand up. has been there for me for over 10 years and is well known in the industry. Pay it forward! Give thanks for what you have and if you can only give a kind word to all who cross your path, you will have made a difference.

My heart goes out to your friend, Esther. In the current economic environment, the plight of so many we care about who have been caught in the storm is heartbreaking, particularly when we are left feeling that we have been able to do too little to help. Please let your friend know about 2-1-1 Orange County. She can reach them for help by calling “211″, toll free, or they can be found at http://www.2110c.org. In fact, I would encourage everyone to check out their website, and if you are able, to make a donation there. I found this organization a few months ago while looking for help for a neighbor in crisis, and they are amazingly awesome!
